Transport Chain - Grade 70

Grade 70 was designed specifically to provide a light, yet strong chain for binding, tie-downs, towing, and construction use. Made from a variety of medium carbon and alloy materials. This grade of chains strength to weight ratio exceeds that of proof coil (grade 30) and high test (grade 43) chain. Induction heat treated, Grade 70 transport chain meets all requirements set by the Department of Transportation (DOT), CCMTA, & CVSA for truck tie-down use. Transport chain has a yellow zinc chromate finish. NOT APPROVED FOR OVERHEAD LIFTING!

Chain Warnings

Never exceed the Working Load Limit (WLL) of the chain.
Only grade 80 alloy chain or higher should be used for overhead lifting.
Remember to always match components.
Avoid shock loads.
Assemblies will carry the WWL of the weakest part.
Never move under a raised load.
Frequently inspect chain. Never use chain that has a deformed link, rust, crack or any indication that would cause doubt about its strength.
Always destroy defective chain by cutting it into short pieces to prevent someone from using it.
Refer to OSHA standard 1910.184 and ASME standard B 30.9 for current design factors for chain slings.
