The Benefits of Alloy Chain Slings

Chain clings are used because of their durability, strength, they are abrasion resistant and have the ability to conform to the shape of the loads. The higher graded chain slings (Grade 80 and higher) are able to lift hot materials as well. Just be sure to inquire about the proper grade if you are looking to lift hot materials. Our chain slings are in accordance with ASTM guidelines.

At Horizon Cable, Inc. we offer welded alloy chain slings and mechanical alloy chain slings in all sizes and configurations to best suit your needs. We also include heavy duty tags on our new products to show you the:

  • Size
  • Grade
  • Working Load Limit
  • Number of Legs
  • Serial Number
  • Date of Manufacture

This way you can always be sure of what product you are using and don’t have to worry about a hand stamped tag wearing off. Our engraved tags are in accordance with OSHA requirements.

Chain Sling Attachments

Our chain slings come with a variety of attachments to help you accomplish a multitude of jobs. You can use attachments with your slings such as hooks, master links, connecting links, or welded coupling links. When using attachments, make sure they are rated at the same grade as your chain. If not, make sure the alloy chain sling is rated to the weakest component or attachment used on that sling.
